Here at House of Print we recognise not only the hard work and determination of our staff but also the loyalty that they demonstrate. A fine example of this is Jane Cele, our paper buyer. As we have stated before, paper is our life’s blood and forms the basis of most of our work.
Paper is not just paper, there are many different stocks for a wide range of jobs, there are different grammages, thicknesses and sizes and buying the wrong paper for a given job can have devastating and very costly consequences. Fortunately, here at House Of Print, we don’t have to worry about that because our paper purchases are in the capable hands of Jane.
Jane joined House of Print when it was situated in Roper St in New Centre. That was soon after she completed her matric in 1980. However, at the time she was only a general worker doing casual work. Jane’s mom worked for the company as the Tea Lady. In the late 1980’s Jane’s mom took ill so Jane took her place until 1990 when she finally became a full-time employee. Her tasks included Tea Lady and general office cleaner.
Then in 2005, it became obvious that Jane was capable of so much more and she was promoted to receptionist, followed two years later by a further promotion to buyer’s assistant with direct responsibility for paper purchases.
Jane’s role is vital to smooth running of House Of Print
