At House of Print the philosophy is produce the very best quality possible and in order to do that we need the very best people. People with drive, enthusiasm and the desire to better themselves.
One such person is Shayne Mushekwa. Shayne joined House of Print as a casual worker. He was employed as a factory assistant working in our digital printing department helping on the black-and-white Konica Minolta presses. He served a three month probation period in this department during which time he showed not only a willingness to work hard but, the skill to rise to the challenges presented to him. As a result he was appointed a full time digital print operator.
After just one, Shayne’s ambition saw him move to the DTP department where he underwent training as a DTP operator under the stringent and firm leadership of Stef and guidance of Luke Biccard. Following his training period he was appointed as a permanent CTP operator, a role which he still holds.
However, that was not the end of the story for Shayne. His desire to improve himself even further saw him apply for a bursary from the Caxton group to study for his degree in Marketing. Based on his dedication and hard work, along with the support of the Andre Bam and the rest of the team, Shayne was awarded a three year bursary. In addition, he won the Employee of the Year award at the end of 2014.
Shayne commented, ‘With the support and encouragement of the team here at House of Print, as well as the patience of Andre who never stood in my way when I nagged about trying new things and furthering myself, I will be able to get my degree and make a real difference. Thanks to everyone for helping to make my dreams come true.
