House of Print has developed a reputation for quality of the highest level with productivity that is second to none. As our production capacity and capabilities have expanded these are two aspects which have never changed.
With the introduction of digital printing we have always opted for machines and printers which meet these principles and which adhere to our ethos of offering our clients the very best printed work in the shortest turnaround times. Now we have installed the very top of the range of Xerox digital production colour presses the Xerox iGen 5. This complements our other Xerox digital presses and closes the gap between digital and litho printing even further.
The Xerox iGen 5 is designed to bring all the best characteristics of the iGen presses into a single configurable platform. It is designed to be tailored to meet our exacting demands in order to give our clients the prints they want in the highest quality available from a digital press.
While quality is the benchmark of the Xerox iGen 5 press, productivity is built into every module and element of the press. The feeder is configured with two paper trays featuring a total capacity of 30 000 sheets allowing longer uninterrupted printing. It can also handle a larger sheet of up to 364 x 660mm allowing fully finished booklets to be produced in a single pass.
The Xerox iGen 5 Press is fully configurable allowing it to be customised to meet specific and changing production requirements. The press can be configured with a fifth print station capable of handling Gamut Extension colours such as Orange, Green and Blue to allow for the ability to match more colours with greater accuracy. It can also print White, Clear and MICR inks making it suitable for a greater range of applications. A full range of finishing solutions expands the range of products which can be produced.
The quality of the printing is managed and controlled using a range of intuitive features. Intelligent Fusing adjusts the fusing speed according to the maximum running speed for a wide variety of stocks. A built-in spectrophotometer in the paper path combined with the Colour Maintenance Tool inform the operator when the press is ready to print top-quality output.
The Xerox iGen 5 is designed to offer maximum production flexibility through its ability to handle a wide range of paper stocks including coated, uncoated, recycled, textured, transparencies, tabbed stock, polyesters and speciality stocks such as magnetised papers. All of these papers can be used in combination in a mixed-stock environment with limited reduction in printing speed.
So, what does all of this mean for our House of Print customers? Quite simply it means that we can meet your printing requirements with the highest quality and in the shortest possible production times. The addition of the Xerox iGen 5 press to our digital production stable means that we have the ability to offer a full service solution to our clients from very short runs through to the longest runs on our litho presses. Add to this our link to the CTP Group of companies and we can essentially meet every need for our customers. Why not give us a try?
